2011 Soups: Announced!

Aaaaaaand, we're back!

Maybe I'll find some time this weekend to put together a cute little calendar, but I'm just happy to have finally settled on a soup schedule I can (possibly, maybe, who knows) live with. It's so difficult to narrow down all the miraculous array of recipes to just 28 soups! As always, I reserve the right to change my mind about any and all of this as the month arrives and progresses. The only thing that won't change is the cardinal rule of Soupruary: No recipes I've tried before.

Without further ado, the nominees are:

1. Pappa al Pomodoro
2. Soupe au Pistou
3. Lebanese Vegetable
4. Indian Yellow Pea
5. Tomato Orange
6. Broccoli Cheddar
7. Spicy Parsnip
8. Lettuce with Radish Salsa
9. Creamy Asparagus with Poached Egg
10. Curried Carrot with Cilantro-Pistachio Cream
11. New Zealand Sweet Potato Chowder
12. Pear and Gouda with Toasted Walnut-Cranberry Salsa
13. Tortellini Minestrone
14. Roasted Beet with Asparagus and Goat Cheese
15. Black Bean and Roasted Tomatillo
16. Roasted Cauliflower with Chimichurri and Poblano Creme Fraiche
17. Succotash Chowder
18. Celeriac Bisque with Jerusalem Artichoke Croutons
19. Creamy Hungarian Mushroom
20. Wild Rice and Cranberry
21. Potato Dill
22. Tuscan Bean and Farro
23. Mushroom Potato Crema with Roasted Poblano
24. Red Lentil
25. Posole
26. Wonton
27. Savory Squash with Cardamom Cream
28. English Onion vs. French Onion Deathmatch

Grocery lists are mostly made, sides are mostly selected...I guess I'm really doing this, y'all.

That doesn't even sound like a REAL THING.
I'm gonna make it to Cincy sometime during Soupruary!
